Sculptural Ceramics

For this scheme of work students constructed a miniature clay model representation of an animal under threat of extinction and designed a campaign poster. They researched animals that are in threat of becoming extinct and then created drawings of an animal of their choice. They learned clay modelling techniques and design skills.  Students learned how to use visual language and media to create a campaign poster based on their clay sculpture. They developed their own personal artistic skills through their drawings, processes and finished pieces of work. Students engaged in planning and development, by themselves and in collaboration with others.
