Teaching, Learning and Assessment

On this page I provide some sample units of learning, lesson plans and assessment rubrics which are linked to curriculum planning for Junior and Senior Cycle Visual Art. The documents illustrate in more detail the content and approaches to teaching, learning and assessment that I adopt when planning for the classroom. The sample units of learning (schemes of work) included demonstrates my desire to bring interesting and engaging subject matter to the classroom which is infused with art and visual culture appreciation across the unit to address the learning outcomes and key skills required at JC or SC Visual art.

I have also included documents that outline modes of assessment which I used during my teaching practice as well as various instruments for reflective practice that I found very useful and will continue to use in my teaching career.
